Certified Training Partner Program
Bring practical Embodied AI and robotics training to your market using OpenAMRobot – with a standardized curriculum, Train-the-Trainer, certification, and a path from education to real automation projects.
Domain expertise – not coding – becomes the programming interface.
Part of a wider partner ecosystem
Certified Training Partner is one OpenAMRobot business model. Organisations focused on integration, hardware, vertical solutions or local service should start with the business-model overview.
Botshare Academy is the professional training and adoption layer of the OpenAMRobot ecosystem. It is built for domain experts – the people who understand the task but are not robotics engineers.
Instead of teaching every participant to become a robotics specialist, we teach them to operate a robot, demonstrate a task, correct its behaviour, evaluate the result, and connect the skill to a measurable business outcome.
The Certified Training Partner Program enables qualified innovation hubs, applied-technology centres, professional training providers, industry associations, robotics organisations, and selected applied educational institutions to deliver this experience locally using a standardized platform, curriculum, and delivery model.
Launch a new robotics training offer
Use a ready-made curriculum, certification framework, technical platform, and delivery model instead of building everything from scratch.
Train the people who own the task
Help operations teams learn to operate and teach robots without requiring them to become robotics engineers.
Turn training into adoption
Use workshops and training programs to identify real automation opportunities and move qualified use cases toward pilots and deployments.
OpenAMRobot
Training is grounded in a real open-source robotics platform, simulation, ROS 2, teleoperation, data capture, and developing Embodied AI workflows.
The learning model
The primary entry point is the Domain Expert · Operate & Train program. Participants move from understanding a business problem to operating a robot and teaching it by demonstration.
| Step | What the participant does | Business outcome |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Assess | Identify a realistic automation task and understand ROI and safety constraints. | A qualified use case rather than a vague automation idea. |
| 2. Operate | Run missions, navigation and docking, use the operator UI, monitor the robot, and handle routine operation. | Internal capability to operate the platform independently. |
| 3. Show | Demonstrate a task through guided teleoperation and capture demonstrations on the real training pipeline. | Domain knowledge becomes structured robot-training data. |
| 4. Correct | Improve behaviour with corrective demonstrations where the robot gets the task wrong. | Faster iteration without traditional robot programming. |
| 5. Judge | Evaluate task execution and decide whether the skill is good enough for the intended outcome. | A practical acceptance criterion tied to the real process. |
| 6. Plan deployment | Translate the result into a site, safety, cost, and pilot plan. | A decision-ready roadmap for the next step. |
No coding required for the core path
Technical programs are available for teams that want to build, customize, or engineer the platform, but coding is not the entry requirement for the Domain Expert path.
Built on a real robot platform
Botshare Academy is built on OpenAMRobot, Botshare's open-source mobile robotics ecosystem. Training uses the same technical foundation in simulation and on physical hardware.
Open platform
Mechanics, electronics, firmware, ROS 2 software, navigation, docking, interfaces, and documentation are inspectable and reproducible.
Simulation first
Participants can begin with simulation, navigation, docking, and guided exercises before moving onto physical hardware.
Embodied AI workflow
Demonstration capture, teleoperation, datasets, evaluation, and policy-training workflows are taught as real system components rather than abstract theory.
Deployment mindset
The same platform is used to move from education into feasibility studies, paid pilots, and eventually production-oriented deployments.
Why this matters
The program is not a simulation-only course and not a closed educational demonstrator. Participants train on a platform they can inspect, reproduce, extend, and potentially deploy.
Who should become a partner?
The program is designed primarily for organisations that already work with companies, technical professionals, or regional innovation ecosystems.
| Partner type | Why it fits |
|---|---|
| Digital Innovation Hubs | Add a concrete hands-on robotics component to SME digitalisation and Test-Before-Invest activities. |
| Applied technology & robotics centres | Add a standardized training and customer-discovery offer around real robotics hardware. |
| Industry associations & chambers | Offer practical automation programs to member companies and identify pilot opportunities. |
| Corporate training providers | Add a differentiated Physical AI / robotics product line backed by a real platform. |
| Applied universities & technical institutes | Extend applied robotics facilities with industry-facing training and practical certification where they already serve external companies. |
| Robotics integrators | Build customer education, pre-sales qualification, and internal talent development around OpenAMRobot. |
Strong partner profile
A strong partner typically has:
- an existing network of SMEs, corporates, entrepreneurs, or technical professionals;
- access to companies with real automation problems;
- a suitable location for practical workshops or demo days;
- at least one technical instructor or engineer;
- the ability to run recurring local programs; and
- interest in developing real automation pilots from training activity.
What the partner receives
Approved curriculum
Structured programs, instructor guidance, exercises, participant materials, assessment criteria, and delivery formats.
Train-the-Trainer
Selected instructors are trained on OpenAMRobot, course methodology, practical exercises, assessment, and safe operation.
Commercial delivery rights
Certified partners may commercially deliver the approved Botshare Academy programs included in their agreement.
Certification framework
Programs can lead to practical Botshare Academy certification based on live robot tasks rather than completion quizzes.
Digital infrastructure
Learning administration, public documentation, GitHub-based practical resources, assignments, and verification processes.
Updates & support
Curriculum and technical updates as OpenAMRobot evolves, with delivery guidance defined by partner tier.
From training to real automation
Botshare Academy is designed as an adoption channel, not education in isolation.
A workshop or training cohort identifies a real process, tests whether it is suitable for automation, and creates the basis for a feasibility study or paid OpenAMRobot pilot. Successful pilots can progress to robot deployments, support, software, and additional use cases.
Why this matters for partners
| Training business | Robotics business |
|---|---|
| Recurring professional-training revenue | Pipeline of qualified automation opportunities |
| Corporate cohorts and workshops | Feasibility studies and paid pilots |
| Certification and participant fees | Deployment, integration, and local support opportunities |
| Demo days and public programs | Long-term customer relationships around OpenAMRobot |
This model allows a local partner to become more than a classroom provider: it can evolve into an Embodied AI competence and deployment hub for its region.
Delivery formats
Partners can be authorized for one or more formats depending on their capabilities.
| Format | Typical duration | Typical purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery Workshop | 1 day | Hands-on introduction: operate the robot, navigate, and complete a first demonstration. |
| Domain Expert · Operate & Train | Multi-session / cohort | Full practical pathway from robot operation to training by demonstration and assessment. |
| Corporate Enablement | 4–8 weeks | Training cohort plus advisory around a selected automation task and deployment plan. |
| Build Your Robot | Program-based | Guided assembly, configuration, calibration, and verification of the OpenAMRobot DIY platform. |
| Customize & Engineer | Program-based | Technical depth covering selected software, firmware, electronics, and mechanical topics. |
| Demo Day / Test-Before-Invest | 1 day | Partner-hosted practical robotics experience for SME and innovation communities. |
Start narrow, expand later
A partner does not need to deliver the full portfolio on day one. Authorization can begin with the Discovery Workshop and Domain Expert · Operate & Train program, then expand as instructors, facilities, and local demand mature.
Partnership structure
The program uses a straightforward licensing model rather than requiring partners to build their own robotics curriculum and delivery infrastructure.
| Component | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Partner onboarding | Technical setup, instructor preparation, delivery standards, and support for the first program. |
| Train-the-Trainer certification | At least one approved instructor for independent delivery of official programs. |
| Annual partner license | Commercial delivery rights, curriculum access, program updates, certification framework, and Certified Training Partner designation. |
| Participant / certification fees | Variable fees where applicable, scaling with actual delivery rather than a large fixed commitment. |
| OpenAMRobot training platform | Access to an approved robot/training configuration appropriate for the programs being offered. |
| Pilot & deployment cooperation | Separate commercial terms based on the partner's role in sales, engineering, integration, and local support. |
Founding phase
Specific commercial terms are agreed individually while the program is being validated with the first partners. We are deliberately avoiding premature territorial exclusivity or rigid franchise structures at this stage.
Quality standards
The value of the network depends on consistent technical and educational quality.
Certified partners are expected to:
- use approved instructors for official programs;
- follow the applicable Botshare Academy curriculum and practical assessment criteria;
- maintain a suitable OpenAMRobot training environment;
- follow robot safety and operating guidance;
- maintain instructor competence as the platform evolves;
- collect participant and customer feedback;
- clearly distinguish official Botshare Academy certification from independent courses built around the open-source project; and
- follow Botshare Academy brand and certification guidelines.
Open source and commercial certification are separate
OpenAMRobot remains an open-source project and can be used according to its applicable licenses. Certified Training Partner status, Botshare Academy curriculum, commercial certification, and partner branding are separate commercial program elements.
